Art work at York St Mary’s sponsored by Secure IT Recycling

'Flood' with 'America'. CSusan Stockwell 2009. Cphoto Hall Puckett. Artist Susan Stockwell will be making an exhibition of her work made from with 4 tons of computer power supplies generously loaned by Secure IT Recycling. 

The exhibition will be at York St Mary’s and will run from June to November 2010. York St Mary’s is a deconsecrated 15th century church in central York that is part of York City Art Galleries and Museum’s Trust - www.yorkstmarys.org

The computer components will be transformed into a sculptural form flowing down from the ceiling of the church and spilling onto the floor, as if flooding the space. The main body of the piece will be sited where the old church alter once was and will flow out across the church floor.

WEEE 4 Wii Prize draw

March 2010 saw our second Wii for WEE competition where all quotations given in the month were entered in a draw for some super prizes. We were unable to persuade the Voice of the balls to officiate so our MD Tim Bugg stood in to make sure all was fair and above board.  The lucky winners of the competition are shown below. You may not have won a prize this time but remember you are always a winner with Secure IT Recycling.

2nd Prize Wii Fit Balance Board - Sarah Langston (Barnes Roffe)

London Marathon in 4hours 1minute and raises £1500 for the Rossendale Centre

Gemma Venables completed this fantastic event in 4 hours 1minute on her first ever attempt at this distance, had previously only run in half marathon events. Her mum Rachel was there at the finish line and reported "at the last mile marker she looked confident and unphased". Secure IT are proud to have been involved in sponsorship for this event. Her grandfather also completed the distance in 4 hours 26 minutes which at 70 years old is a fantastic achievement. This brings his total to 23 marathons completed !!

The Rossendale Trust (registered Charity) based in Macclesfield, Cheshire - providing full residential care for adults with learning difficulties. Emphasis is on providing a real home from home and also day care facilities.
